Beet-ing the Hangover Blues with Our Magical Beet Kvass!

Beet Kvass is a fermented beet tonic with medieval origins from Russia and Ukraine. At Garden Goddess, we ferment a mixture of Pink Himalayan salt, organic beets, cinnamon, and cloves with the total fermentation-to-bottle process lasting about 4 weeks. While some recipes can contain yeast or added cultures, we let the naturally-high-in-sugar beets do all the work in our kvass. The cinnamon and cloves provide additional phytonutrients that help with the absorption of the healthy probiotic bacteria and stimulate blood flow.
