Organic brown rice ready for fermenting.

Garden Goddess' Sprouted Organic Brown Rice Recipe

Sprout your organic brown rice before you cook it. It'll give it a nutty flavor, increases its nutrient value, and makes it easier to digest.

Sprouting your rice before you cook it takes a bit of advanced planning, but it’s definitely worth your while. You’ll end up with a nutty-flavored grain that’s gained nutritional value and is easier to digest.

Ingredients

Organic brown rice

Water

Directions

Add your rice to a bowl and cover with warm water. Let it sit for 12 hours.

Rinse. Throw out the water. Rinse again.

Put the twice rinsed rice back into the bowl and stir it occasionally with a wooden spoon for 2 days. This keeps it rolling and helps it to germinate.

After 2 days you can throw it in the fridge or cook it.

It’ll be good in the fridge for about a week.

Enjoy!
