6 x 16oz Beet Kvass
What is Beet Kvass?
Beet kvass is a traditional fermented beet tonic. Ours is made from organic beets, filtered water, and pink salt, with a hint of cinnamon and cloves. It tastes earthy, tangy, and lightly salty, with a warm spice finish. It's raw, never pasteurized, and made in small batches with no added sugar, no vinegar, no sweeteners, and no fillers.

How to Drink It
Sip 1–2 oz a day, chilled, ideally in the morning. You can also mix it into sparkling water or use it as a tangy base for dressings. Keep it refrigerated. At 1–2 oz a day, a 3-pack lasts about 3–7 weeks, and the 16oz bottles are easy to keep one at work or on the go.
Why It Works
Kvass is one of the world's oldest fermented drinks and was a daily drink for Slavic people as far back as the 10th century. In beet kvass, the beets sit in salt brine without oxygen, and their natural beneficial bacteria, including Lactobacillus, turn the vegetable's sugars into lactic acid. Beets are also a top source of dietary nitrate. The body converts nitrate to nitrite and then to nitric oxide, a gas that helps widen blood vessels and supports healthy blood flow.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does original beet kvass taste like?
It's earthy, tangy, and lightly salty, with a subtle warmth from cinnamon and clove. If you'd like something brighter, try our Lemon Ginger Beet Kvass.
Does it contain sugar, stevia, or artificial sweeteners?
No. There is no added sugar, stevia, or artificial sweetener.
Is beet kvass probiotic?
Yes. It's raw and unpasteurized, so the live cultures from natural fermentation stay intact.
Is beet kvass the same as beet juice?
No. Beet juice is pressed from beets. Beet kvass is beets fermented in salt brine, which makes it tangy and probiotic and lower in sugar.
What's the difference between beet kvass and kombucha?
Beet kvass is fermented mainly by lactic-acid bacteria and is caffeine-free. Kombucha is tea-based, usually contains caffeine, and is fermented by acetic-acid bacteria and yeasts.
